Come noto agli addetti del mestiere e come facilmente constatabile dal pubblico, la percezione della voce dei cantanti nelle manifestazioni teatrali e liriche all’aperto risulta carente; a tal proposito è stato effettuato uno studio per la realizzazione di un elemento scenico trasparente che risolvesse questo problema.
La definizione della struttura architettonica non è stata una pura decisione stilistica ma è derivata dal confronto tra forme differenti, modellate tridimensionalmente, ed analizzate agli elementi finiti dal punto di vista acustico.
L’elemento scenico più performante nel caso di studio ha portato un buon risultato dando un incremento di pressione sonora medio di circa 6 dB (sono stati utilizzati i parametri C50, per il parlato, e C80, per la musica).
La struttura, 14 mensole in vetro incastrate alla base che rispettano i fattori di sicurezza da tenere in considerazione, garantisce trasparenza per le scenografie retrostanti ed un’ottima riflessione acustica (garantita dal materiale stesso); gli elementi che la compongono, semplicemente assemblabili, permettono un veloce e sicuro montaggio, stoccaggio e rimontaggio.
As is well known to professionals in the field and readily observed by audiences, the perception of singers’ voices at outdoor theater and opera performances is poor.
Therefore, a study was conducted to create a transparent scenic element that would address this issue.
The definition of the architectural structure was not a purely stylistic decision but rather a result of comparing different shapes, modeled three-dimensionally and analyzed acoustically using finite element techniques.
The best-performing scenic element in the case study achieved good results, providing an average increase in sound pressure of approximately 6 dB (C50 parameters for speech and C80 for music were used).
The structure, consisting of 14 glass shelves embedded at the base that comply with the required safety factors, ensures transparency for the scenography behind them and excellent acoustic reflection (guaranteed by the material itself). Its component elements, easily assembled, allow for quick and safe assembly, storage, and reassembly.
