This project is inserted into the Parma university campus trying to establish order within it by creating paths that connect the adjacent buildings and creating internal and external spaces in which vegetation plays a fundamental role; in the shade of the foliage new meeting and resting places arise which are now missing.

The new building is conceived as a blade of earth that rises from the ground as if pushed by the pressure of two contrasting plates; the culmination of this tension appears to be the main entrance, a diamond covered in steel which houses the university’s main hall on the upper floor. From the entrance the paths branch off between the classrooms, the study area and the library in one direction, the professors’ offices and the secretariat in the opposite direction while, crossing the entrance diagonally you can access the central courtyard managed by greenery, a meeting place, a resting place, that wants to reinterpret the cloister in a modern key.
